Born to be loved
They say to be known is to be loved. For J'Nelle, that was a massive understatement. She touched every soul she encountered, making everyone feel special, loved, and as though they had known her their entire lives.

Entrepreneur · MBA · Champion of Women
J'Nelle was one of Pretty Smack's biggest supporters — and a fierce believer in women-owned brands everywhere. She lifted others as she climbed, and she did it with a smile that lit up every room.

A graduate of Villanova University with an MBA from Drexel, J'Nelle rose to Chief of People — a title that could not have been more fitting. Through PAGE–Philadelphia Anchors for Growth and Equity, she launched the PAGE Hurdle Fund to help close the capital gap for Black- and Brown-owned businesses.
In 2019 she turned an Italian milk truck into Bubbles and Brews, a mobile bar that became a Philadelphia staple. In 2024 she opened The Social on Morton — named one of Main Line Today's "Best of the Main Line" in its very first year. She was honored among Philadelphia Style's Dynamic Women and Diversity Plus Magazine's Top 25 Women in Power.
Beyond every title, it was her heart people remember. Daughter to Patricia, sister to Jamal and Tatanisha, aunt, cousin, and friend to so many — she showed up, she celebrated loudly, and she made sure the people she cared about knew exactly how much they meant to her.
"Her success was never simply about titles, awards, or businesses. It was the impact she had on the people around her."
